is now in Seoul — right inside Lotte World Mall in Jamsil
If you’re visiting Lotte World or Seokchon Lake,
this is one of the easiest places to try
a very local-style Korean noodle dish.
Here’s what to expect at Shilla Jemyeon Jamsil,
including waiting tips and what to order.
Why Visit Shilla Jemyeon Jamsil?
Lotte World Mall in Jamsil is almost
a must-visit spot for international travelers.
Inside this massive shopping complex,
you’ll find luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Gucci,
along with popular Korean fashion labels
such as Matin Kim, ADER Error, and Hago Haus.
When you start getting hungry,
You have too many options.
The mall is filled with global franchise restaurants
and constantly changing food pop-ups,
which can actually make it harder
to decide what to eat.
That’s when Shilla Jemyeon Jamsil
becomes a great option.
a bit hidden from the typical tourist path,
local, satisfying, and easy to access.

- Location: 6F, Lotte World Mall,
300 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, Seoul - Hours: 10:30 – 22:00
- Reservation: Not available

- Nearest Subway: Jamsil Station (Line 2 & 8)
The original restaurant is in Gyeongju
and is famous for long waiting lines.
There are currently two locations in Seoul
Anguk and Jamsil
so you can choose based on your travel route.
How to Find Shilla Jemyeon
in Lotte World Mall
Before you go,
here’s something important to know.
- Lotte Department Store (Adventure & Main Building):
Located between Exit 3 and 4 - Lotte World Tower Avenuel (Luxury Mall):
Enter through Exit 1 or 2 - Lotte World Mall (Shopping Mall & Cinema):
Walk straight through Avenuel
Make sure you’re heading to Lotte World Mall.
Level 5 of the World Tower is the cinema floor,
and this is where many people get confused.
If you take the main escalator in front of the cinema,
you’ll end up on the 7th floor.
Instead, look for the smaller escalator
near Olive Young at the cinema entrance
that’s the one that takes you to the 6th-floor restaurant area.
Waiting Tips for Shilla Jemyeon Jamsil
Reservations are not available.
You have two options:
- Tableling app (remote waiting)
- On-site kiosk registration
If you’re visiting from abroad,
the app may be difficult to use.
The easiest option is to register at the kiosk
and explore the mall while you wait.
I visited at 12:40 PM on a weekend:
- 16 teams ahead
- Around 20 minutes wait
Turnover is fast, so even a long line moves quickly.
The restaurant areas on the
5th and 6th floors of Lotte World Mall
have well-organized waiting spaces
in front of each store.
If there’s no waiting area available
in front of the restaurant you registered for,
you can simply wait in an empty space
in front of another restaurant nearby.
The dining space itself isn’t very large,
but it’s clean and modern.
The staff are friendly, and menus are available
in English, Chinese, and Japanese,
so you shouldn’t have any trouble communicating.
Shilla Jemyeon Jamsil Menu: What to Order
Here’s a quick breakdown of the main dishes:
Kalnakji and Kalnaksae require a
minimum order of two portions.
Takeout and packing leftovers are not available.
- Kalnakji (14,000won)
Spicy stir-fried octopus with kalguksu noodles,
with a slightly smoky flavor - Kalnaksae(16,000won):
Kalnakji with added shrimp - Dongjuk Kalguksu (11,000won)
A lighter but still1 spicy clam noodle soup
with Cheongyang chili - Gamja-jeon(11,000won)
A crispy potato pancake with a
texture similar to potato chips
Recommended combinations:
2 people: Kalnakji + rice
3 people: Kalnakji + rice + Gamja-jeon
4+ people: Kalnakji + rice + Dongjuk Kalguksu + Gamja-jeon
Shilla Jemyeon Jamsil signature dish
1.Kalnakji (Spicy Octopus & Noodles)
It combines spicy stir-fried octopus
with kalguksu noodles.
Portions are enough for two people.
The sauce is perfect for mixing with rice
slightly spicy, savory, and very satisfying.
It’s about 14,000 KRW per person,
so it’s more realistic to think of the octopus
as a topping rather than the main highlight.
Gamja-jeon (Crispy Potato Pancake)
A unique Korean potato pancake
with a crispy, almost chip-like texture.
Light, crunchy, and a great side dish.
Also, if you’re ordering Gamja-jeon,
I’d recommend choosing a spicier level for Kalnakji or Kalnaksae
the combination works better that way.
Bibimbap (Rice with Sauce)
After finishing the noodles,
many people order rice.
Note:
This is not cooked at the table.
You mix the rice yourself with the leftover sauce.
It doesn’t have the smoky “fried rice” flavor,
but it’s still satisfying.

Is Shilla Jemyeon Jamsil worth visiting?
Shilla Jemyeon Jamsil is a great way
to try a famous Gyeongju dish without leaving Seoul.
Compared to other restaurants in Lotte World Mall,
the pricing is reasonable, and portions are generous.
The only downside is that takeaway is not available,
so plan your order carefully.
What to Do After Shilla Jemyeon Jamsil
Seokchon Lake
Located right next to Lotte World Mall.
One of the best walking spots in Seoul,
especially during cherry blossom season.
Sky Bridge (5F)
A quiet spot connecting
Lotte World Mall and Avenuel.
You get a great view of Seokchon Lake and the city.
