Craving burgers and fried chicken in Seoul?
Sure, you’ll find McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King,
and even Shake Shack
but if you want a genuinely Korean fast food experience,
Mom’s Touch Seoul is the one you can’t miss.
What Is Mom’s Touch?

McDonald’s and Shake Shack are global chains,
but Mom’s Touch is Korea’s
very own homegrown burger brand.
When it first launched, it was dismissed
as a knock-off overshadowed
by the big international franchises
but today, Mom’s Touch is firmly the most-loved
fast food brand among Korean MZ
(millennial and Gen Z) consumers.
The Thigh Patty Difference
The key difference is the patty.
Mom’s Touch uses a whole chicken thigh,
hand-battered and fried into a thick, juicy patty
a far cry from the compressed chicken used at most chains.
The value-to-quality ratio is exceptional,
and with over 1,500 locations across the country,
you’re never far from one.
Why Locals and Tourists Must Go

Word has spread fast among international visitors too.
And there’s one specific reason to visit in May 2026:
limited collaboration menus with
Culinary Class Wars Season 2 chef Hudukjuk
and viral Korean cooking creator Kimpoong
are only available until the end of May.
Don’t sleep on this.
Hudukjuk Chef Collection
Chinese Master Meets Korean Fast Food
Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars Season 2
introduced a new generation to Chef Hudukjuk,
a living legend with 58 years in the Chinese kitchen.
Countless brands were said to be chasing
a collab with him — and he chose a Korean homegrown brand.

Mom’s Touch Seoul Hudukjuk Collabs Menu & Prices
| Menu | Description | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Hudukjuk Ssai Burger | Chinese chili sauce with doubanjiang, chili oil & tomato; gungchae (pickled water bamboo) instead of pickles for extra crunch | ₩7,200 |
| Hudukjuk Whole Shrimp Burger | Whole shrimp patty with lemon cream sauce — a Chinese cream prawn reimagined as a burger | ₩7,500 |
| Hudukjuk Big Ssai Chicken | Chinese-style eohyang sauce: spicy, tangy, sweet, and savory all at once | ₩17,000 |
Taste Review: Shrimp Burger & Big Ssai Chicken

I ordered the Hudukjuk Single Set —
Whole Shrimp Burger + Big Ssai Chicken
and the portion size genuinely caught me off guard.
I was expecting two piece or three of chicken
alongside a burger, but what arrived was
closer to half a whole chicken.
The Big Ssai Chicken had that deep Chinese-style
spicy and slightly sweet — with juicy,
generous pieces of chicken that fill
your mouth completely.
If you’re a fan of Korean yangnyeom (seasoned) chicken,
this will be right up your alley.
The Whole Shrimp Burger
went in the opposite direction:
creamy and smooth with that lemon cream sauce.
By the time I finished the chicken,
I was already getting full,
so I pulled out one side of the bun
and ate just the filling
and honestly, it tasted exactly like the cream prawn
you’d get at a proper Chinese restaurant.
Kimpoong “Yaemae” Collection
Korea’s Chaos Chef Strikes Again
Kimpoong (김풍) is a webtoon artist
and TV personality who didn’t appear on
Culinary Class Wars at all — yet he’s often called
Korea’s “Dark Chef.” On the JTBC cooking show
‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator‘,
he regularly beat Michelin-starred chefs
using nothing but home-cook improvisation.
His weapon: shockingly bold, indulgent flavor
combinations that somehow just work.
He teamed up with Mom’s Touch to create
4 menus under the “Yaemae Collection”
(야매 = amateur hack) —
and they are exactly what you’d expect from him.
Mom’s Touch Seoul Kimpoong Collabs Menu & Prices
| Menu | Description | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Magic Ssai Burger | Som tam cucumber pickles + spicy peanut butter — a combination that has no business working, yet somehow does | ₩7,700 |
| Magic Beef Burger | Same bold som tam + peanut butter combo, with a beef patty | ₩8,200 |
| Magic Big Ssai Chicken | Pineapple sauce + coconut flakes + sambal dipping sauce — tropical vibes in a Mom’s Touch box | ₩17,000 |
| Magic Pizza | Korean dried radish greens (sirae-gi) pesto + crispy bulgogi + nurungji (scorched rice) topping. Available at Moms Pizza locations only | ₩22,900 |
Taste Review: Magic Beef Burger & Coconut Chicken

I went with the Magic Beef Burger
& Big Ssai Chicken Single Set
and again, the portion was massive.
On the chicken front: Hudukjuk wins.
The Kimpoong Big Ssai Chicken is sweet,
coconut-y, and very pineapple-forward,
like eating Hawaiian pizza in chicken form.
The first bite was a genuine “wait,
I’ve never had chicken like this before” moment.
But by the time I finished one piece,
I wasn’t sure I wanted another.
It’s the kind of flavor that gets tiring fast
— interesting once, not something I’d crave again.
The Magic Beef Burger, on the other hand?
Flame-grilled patty with peanut butter sauce
that combination simply cannot fail.
Rich, nutty, with a hint of heat from the som tam pickle.
Genuinely good.

If Hudukjuk’s menu is
authentic Chinese cuisine translated into fast food,”
Kimpoong’s menu feels like someone sat down and asked,
“how do I make fast food surprising?”
and committed fully to that mission.
How Long Are These Menus Available?
Both collaborations are limited-time only.
Based on current information,
menus are expected to remain available
through the end of May 2026,
but no exact end date has been officially confirmed.
As with all limited menus,
they can disappear without much notice
so if you’re visiting Seoul in May,
make it a priority.
Other Mom’s Touch Seoul Menus
Worth Ordering
Ssai Burger — The One That Started It All

If it’s your first time at Mom’s Touch,
the original Ssai Burger is non-negotiable.
That thick, hand-battered whole thigh patty
with Mom’s secret sauce hits different from
anything at Burger King or KFC.
It’s the kind of burger that makes
you want a cold beer on the side
and yes, some locations actually sell
beer and chicken combos at a discount,
so check if your nearest branch offers that.
Pizza & More
I noticed a surprising number of people
ordering pizza inside the restaurant
the toppings looked generously piled on.
I didn’t get to try it this time,
but it’s on my list for next visit.
Highly recommended to check
if your branch has the full Moms Pizza menu.
Best Mom’s Touch Locations
in Seoul for Tourists

Mom’s Touch locations are concentrated in
tourist-heavy neighborhoods:
Hongdae, Ewha (Sinchon), Seongsu-dong,
Myeongdong, Itaewon, and around Gangnam Station.
For exact hours and locations,
search on Google Maps or Naver Maps.
Final Verdict: Who Wins the Collab Battle?
Plenty of Korean burger brands have jumped on
the Culinary Class Wars collab bandwagon.
I tried the Burger King x Chef Yoo Yongwook collab
and for a burger priced over ₩10,000,
it was a genuine disappointment.
The McDonald’s x Chef Choi Kangrock collab
also recently launched, but early reviews suggest
the beef-and-shrimp patty combo
doesn’t quite come together,
and the price point north of ₩10,000 doesn’t help.
Compared to either of those?
Mom’s Touch wins this collab round handily
on price, on portion, and on flavors
that actually make sense
(and sometimes don’t, in the best Kimpoong way).
Coconut chicken wasn’t quite my thing personally,
but if you’re the kind of person
who puts pineapple on pizza without apology,
you’ll probably love it. Either way,
get there before May is over.
