Not a guidebook. Not sponsored.
Just a native Korean who wants you to experience the real thing —
hidden restaurants, honest hotel reviews, and the K-culture only locals know.

It started with frustration.
Every time I looked up travel guides for Korea written for foreign visitors,
I kept seeing the same recycled lists — restaurants that had closed years ago,
hotels reviewed by bloggers who stayed once on a press trip, and K-culture reduced to a checklist of things to photograph. I wanted to do something about it.

As a native Korean living in Seoul, I’ve spent years exploring the city and the country on my own terms — not as a tourist, but as someone who actually eats, sleeps, and breathes this culture every single day.
As a Marriott Titanium member, I’ve stayed in more Korean hotels than most travel writers combined, and I’ve eaten my way through countless alleyway restaurants that will never appear in any guidebook.
This blog was born out of a simple belief: you deserve better than outdated information. Whether you’re planning your first trip to Korea or your fifth,
you deserve honest, up-to-date insights from someone who genuinely knows this place.
This blog focuses on Korea travel, Seoul hotels, hidden restaurants, and authentic Korean culture experienced by a local resident.
Welcome to Korea Like a Local — real Korea, shared by a local.
