Following the great response to my post
about the Euljiro Dalmaji Plaza BBQ branch,
today I’m sharing my experience
at the newly opened Dalmaji Plaza BBQ Seongsu.
If you’re hunting for the best BBQ spot in Seoul,
keep reading—I’ve included a direct comparison
between the two locations at the end.

Dalmaji Plaza BBQ Seongsu
Quick Info
Address: 302-34, Seongsu-dong 2-ga
Hours: Mon–Thu (16:00–02:00)
Fri–Sun (12:00–02:00)
Directions: 150m from Seongsu Station (Line 2), Exit 4
Reservations: CatchTable App or Naver

The Seongsu branch is located
right across from Cube Entertainment.
It’s on the main street near Seongsu Station,
so you really can’t miss it.
Pro Tips for Booking
Since it’s still relatively new,
getting a table here is easier
than at the original Euljiro spot.
You can use the CatchTable app
or set up a remote waitlist
on the day of your visit.
The “Delay” Trick:
CatchTable has a feature that allows you
to push back your turn twice.
My strategy? Have friends sign up
for the remote waitlist at 30-minute intervals
starting two hours before you want to eat.
If your turn comes up earlier
than you plan to arrive,
just use the “delay” function
to push your spot back by about 10 turns.
We went on a weekday,
spaced out our sign-ups starting at 5:00 PM,
pushed the queue once,
and got in perfectly at 7:00 PM.

Seongsu English Menu

The menu in Seongsu is identical
to the Euljiro branch.
You’ll find the signature handmade sausages,
charcoal-grilled BBQ,
and a variety of Korean pub favorites.
The menu is digital (table order)
and supports multiple languages,
so ordering is a breeze.
What I ordered
At Dalmaji Plaza BBQ
1.Salt-Grilled BBQ
(26,000 KRW)

Stuck between salt and marinated?
Go with the Salt-Grilled.
They provide sauces on the side anyway,
so it’s the more versatile choice.
I saw them grilling these in the
open-hearth oven at the entrance
the result is that clean,
savory flavor of traditional
Korean-style BBQ with all the excess fat rendered out.
2. Handmade Black Pork Sausage
(27,000 KRW)

This is the signature item for a reason.
Served with baked beans and mashed potatoes,
it’s exactly what you want
if you love juicy, explosion-in-your-mouth
sausages like Johnsonville.
It’s a non-negotiable order.
Handmade Fish Cake Soup
(25,000 KRW)

I usually order the sea snails (golbaengi),
but it was raining,
so I craved something warm.
This isn’t your cheap flour-based fish cake;
it’s authentic Busan-style fish cake
with a great, thick texture.
The broth has a nice kick to it,
but if you’re a fan of spice,
ask them for some extra Cheongyang chili peppers.
Cass Draft Beer
(5,500 KRW)

This place knows how to pour a beer.
Fast turnover means the kegs stay fresh.
They offer “Crispy” (sharper, carbonated)
and “Smooth” (Japanese-style soft) options.
If you want that refreshing,
throat-hitting finish, go for the “Crispy.”
The Vibe:
A Mountain Cabin in the City

Dalmaji Plaza BBQ nails that
“mountain cabin” aesthetic.
Just like the original,
they have the massive sausage display
and log-cabin interior
that makes you feel like you’ve gone camping,
not just out for dinner.
The “Dajji” (Counter) Seating

They have shared tables with seating
centered around a charcoal grill.
Watching the sausages hanging overhead
and the charcoal fire glowing
in front of you creates such a mood.
I’ve already decided to request these seats next time.
Is it quiet?
Honestly? No.
It’s incredibly loud.
If you’re looking for a place
to have a deep, quiet conversation,
this isn’t it.
People come here for the high-energy,
bustling atmosphere where you
have to raise your voice just a little to be heard.
Euljiro vs. Seongsu:
Which is better?
While the atmosphere and menu are consistent,
the experience depends on
what you’re looking for.
Having visited both locations,
here is my honest take on their differences.
1) Why choose Euljiro
Where the Euljiro branch truly outshines
Seongsu is the Yajang (outdoor seating).
The massive outdoor BBQ area
set up right in the heart of Euljiro
creates a unique atmosphere
that I strongly recommend to anyone traveling to Seoul;
it’s an experience you shouldn’t miss at least once.
Unfortunately, the Seongsu branch only offers
indoor seating,
so you can’t get that iconic ‘Yajang’ vibe there.
2) Why choose Seongsu?
The Seongsu branch is located
right in the heart of the main Seongsu-dong district.
You don’t need to go out of your way to find it;
you can just spend the day exploring
Seongsu-dong—a true traveler’s paradise—
put yourself on the remote waitlist,
and head over right when it’s your turn.
Plus, it’s located immediately in front of
the subway station,
making it slightly more convenient
than the Euljiro branch in terms of accessibility.
Nearby Spots to Check Out
✔️Cube Entertainment:
Right across the street.
You can grab a coffee at the cafe
on the first floor and,
who knows, maybe spot an idol.

✔️Seongsu Pop-ups:
This is the pop-up capital of Korea.
There’s always a new,
photogenic brand event happening every week.
Just wandering around will fill up half your day.
✔️Seoul Forest:
A short walk away.
It’s a great spot to digest after a heavy meal.
You can walk through the park
all the way to the Han River
—a perfect way to end a day in Seoul.
